We get it—photography is about skill, composition, light, and storytelling. A great photographer can take an amazing photo with just about any camera. But that’s not why we’re here.
The Lake Oswego Photo Gear Club exists for those of us who just love the gear. The crisp click of a new shutter, the smooth zoom of an absurdly expensive lens, the impossibly perfect feel of a fresh camera grip—this is what makes our hearts race. We’re not here to critique your technique or tell you how to be a better photographer. In fact, we fully accept that we could (and probably should) improve our skills, but we honestly don’t care.
We’re here to talk about specs, debate mirrorless vs. DSLR (again), unbox shiny new gadgets, and collectively drool over the latest releases we totally don’t need but desperately want. Whether you’re a Nikon purist, a Sony fanatic, a Canon loyalist, or someone who just loves collecting lenses like rare Pokémon, this club is for you.
So if you’d rather talk megapixels than composition and get more excited about f/1.2 than the rule of thirds, welcome home.
